Driving After Hip Replacement
Driving after hip replacement should be resumed only when the patient can sit comfortably, control the vehicle safely, react quickly and is not affected by pain medicines or weakness. Timing varies between patients.
Key Guidance
Do not drive until your surgeon clears you.
Right hip surgery, manual cars and sedating medicines can delay driving.
Reaction time and emergency braking ability must be safe.
